Management

Once the campaign is successful:

• The beaches will be owned and managed for public access and low-impact recreation by the Ketchikan Gateway Borough or appropriate community organization
• A conservation easement on the property will ensure that the beaches will remain in their natural state in perpetuity.
• The purchase and management of the beaches by KBA will ensure that public access for low-impact recreation will be provided.
• A public access plan will be developed to provide low-impact recreational use of the properties.
• Existing trails will form the basis of an improved and upgraded public trail system.
